Santas Came to Town!

Collection of Sponsorship Info

On 28th November 140 Santas and plenty of supporters turned out on a wintry Saturday afternoon to brighten Rochester's Castle Gardens and High Street with festive colours and sights.
Preparations began at 9am with a team of volunteers setting up in the Castle Gardens and drumming up support in the High Street
The event was open to entrants of all ages and even pets!
The Fun Run was started by Mayor of Medway David Royale and Rotary District Governor Euan Eddie at 2pm so all runners could complete the course before the High Street Christmas lights were switched on at 4pm.
Geoff Waters, (fundraising committee chair) said "It was a really good day and we're really pleased with the turnout as we were only expecting about 100 people"

As we collect in sponsor money half will go to Medway RC's charities and half to the runners' chosen charities, meaning Christmas is a lot brighter for those in need!

This year Medway RC's chosen charities are:

       - Wisdom Hospice
       - Oliver Fisher Special Baby Care Unit
       - Kent Youth
       - Demelza Hospice Care for Children
